The Dry Gulch Gallery is located in Nogal townsite.  It is the old post office and mercantile building right on Hwy 37, near the new post office. The Gallery contains fantastic photographs, and is open Thursday – Sunday, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.  There is ample parking available in the adjacent lot.

Carrizozo Music in the Parks is an associate of Carrizozo Works, Inc. that focuses on bringing music to the citizens of Carrizozo through free concerts and festivals. Carrizozo Music in the Parks sponsors a series of family oriented music programs for adults and children in a safe and fun environment. The concerts are free to the public thanks to the support of donations from individuals and local sponsors. Music in the Parks hosts five summer concerts and at least one concert during the winter, featuring genre such as blues, brass, jazz, classical and rock.

Carrizozo Volunteer Fire Department is an all volunteer department with 2 main stations & 27 members. Our fire district encompasses over 500 square miles. We sponsor the annual Carrizozo 4 th of July fireworks display and Santa’s delivery of candy/fruit to our local children and home-bound seniors. We proudly sponsor the Carrizozo Youth Committee which raises money to assist our local youth.
